The Michelin man licking his lips
The Cacciatori restaurant in Cartosio, in the province of Alessandria, has been included in the list of new Bib Gourmand restaurants (restaurants offering high quality at reasonable prices) in the famous Michelin Guide Italy. This is a prestigious achievement for the restaurant owned by Massimo Milano and his wife, chef Federica Rossini, confirming their professional growth and commitment to quality in their dishes. The award, represented by the famous “Michelin man licking his lips”, recognises 24 new Italian restaurants, unveiled on 12 November in Parma (bringing the total to 255 establishments across the country). This award joins the many other certificates confirmed for 2026 that adorn the walls of the Cartosio restaurant.
Slow Food Chiocciola from the Osterie d'Italia Guide
In 2026, the Cacciatori restaurant in Cartosio is once again included in the Osterie d'Italia Guide, now in its 30th edition. The guide, a symbol of Slow Food Editore, recounts the richness and diversity of Italian regional cuisines at an affordable price, in restaurants recommended and reviewed by over 250 contributors.
Gambero Rosso
The Ristoranti d'Italia di Gambero Rosso guide has awarded Cacciatori di Cartosio two Forks. ‘Massimo Milano and Federica Rossini offer cuisine of the highest quality, starting with the white, quiet dining room and outdoor seating area,’ reads the gamberosso.it website. "The cuisine is outstanding, without being pretentious or self-referential. From fresh pasta to the disarming simplicity of an onion frittata, from the impeccable Russian salad to the pan-fried kid: dishes that respect tradition but with a light touch. Two tasting menus, a modest but adequate wine list. There are also comfortable rooms for extending your stay".

The 19th edition of the Identità Golose guide includes the name Cacciatori di Cartosio as a new entry. ‘The Cacciatori di Cartosio restaurant is an institution of Piedmontese cuisine, appreciated for its understated elegance and calm, welcoming atmosphere,’ reads the website.
50 Top Italy
In the famous ranking compiled by 50 Top Italy, Cacciatori Cartosio ranks 28th in the Modern Trattorias and Bistros category.
